Life in Watertown, NY

Life isn’t as glamorous as you’d think living in New York. For one, we are faaaar from New York City. Watertown is actually a tiny town. There’s not much to do. Even the Walmart closes and isn’t open 24-7 here. We live about 20ish minutes from post and there’s nothing to do in this area haha. However, we still find some things to do.
We don’t have a washer and dryer so once every two weeks we either go to one of our friends’ houses and use their washer and dryers or sometimes, just so we don’t impose too much, we end up going to the Laundromat…

We even have gone to BINGO NIGHT on Thursdays with our friends Eric and Jen. We didn’t win anything but it was sure something different and well, Jen actually won two games. Lucky girl.

Tried going to the zoo in Watertown but all the animals were either sleeping, or their area was “under construction” It was the most expensive zoo admittance for nothing but a few turtles and a skunk. Lol

One day (May 5th), Aaron and I decided to go for a drive. We had no destination planned we just kept driving….we ended up going to Cape Vincent. We went to the water area and took some pictures, it was so beautiful. We got to see the Canadian border. We wanted to get our passports so we could actually go to Canada but we don’t have time. But at least we saw the border! !!

Another adventure we went on…we went to Thompson park here in Watertown. We went on a random obstacle course and I attempted to do push ups. Key work: ATTEMPTED. W only took videos, no pictures but those are waaay too embarrassing to put up here so I’ll just put up pictures of the scenery that we got to see around the park.
